The cases of wife battering was taken to another dimension in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, when a man, Solomon Ajisafe, teamed up with his sister and mother, to brutally beat up his wife on allegations of infidelity.
Aside the beating, he went ahead to push a beer bottle into the woman and pour grounded pepper into her private parts, making her go temporarily insane.
The case raised a whole lot of outrage with members of the civil society and the general public urging the law to take its course and punish the culprits severely.
