Udoh was discoverd from a football talent hunt programme organised
by wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun
The spotlight has been thrown on Golden Eaglets goalkeeper Akpan Udoh due to his exploits at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup.
With
Udoh at the post, the Eaglets have won two of their games at the world
Cup- a 2-0 win over USA and a 5-1 thrashing of Chile.
Udoh we learnt was discovered in Udinese Football Club where he went on a training camp with UPLIFT Football Team in 2013.
The UPLIFT team was sponsored to the training by wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun.
Udoh,
was one of the 22 young football players discovered who went for that
training camp in Italy courtesy of Mrs. Amosun's football talent hunt
programme in 2013.

The UPLIFTing
Under-15 Grassroot Football Talent-hunt was organised by the wife of the
Governor of Ogun State during the 2013 Easter holiday amongst all
public secondary school students in Ogun State.
At the training camp, Udoh and his teammates from Nigeria played under the watchful eyes of the likes of Segun Odegbami, Mr. Jim Colston, a renowned scout for the English Premiership League and Football Ambassador, Mr. John Fashanu.
