Man arraigned for stealing 6 cartons of noodles
He reportedly stole the noodles from the complainant's shop while she was trying to find 'change' for the accused.
One Mr Ebele has allegedly been
charged with stealing 6 cartoons of Indomie noodles valued at N7,800. He
reportedly stole the noodles from the complainant's shop while she was
trying to find 'change' for the accused.
Prosecutor, Inspector Innocent Uko told the court on December 10, 2015 that teh accused stole six cartoons of noodles from one Margaret Adaha's shop which is situated at the Agents complex, Seme Border.
“The accused came to buy something from the complainant’s shop.
“When
the owner of the shop went to look for other denominations to balance
the accused for what he had paid for, the accused took six cartons of
noodles from the complainant’s shop into his car and ran away.
“The accused was apprehended before he could get away with the stolen items,’’ he said.
Uko said the offence is a breech of section 285 of the criminal code, laws of Lagos state, Nigeria 2011.

Bello, Counsel to Ebele pleaded with the court to grant his clients
bail and assured the court that his client would not skip jail since
investigation of the theft is still ongoing.
The
magistrate, Mr Abiodun Etti, granted bail to the accused in the sum of
N20,000 on the condition that the accused must produce 2 sureties whose
tax payment should be verified.
The magistrate adjourned the case till Jan. 26, 2016 for further hearing
