PDP Party's ex-governors hold reconciliatory meeting Report said the meeting was about reconciliation with the aggrieved members of the party in a bid to restructure it for possible take over of power in 2019.     Former governors of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday, March 25, 2016, reportedly held a meeting with the  National Chairman of the party, Senator Ali-Modu Sheriff. Heavy explosion rocks CBN office in Calabar An unidentified eyewitness who spoke to the online news platform described the explosion as "deafening."   An explosion has been reported in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Calabar, Cross River state capital. The blast, according to The Cable, occurred today, March 11, 2016, at about 1pm. An unidentified eyewitness who spoke to the online news platform described the explosion as "deafening." The source said, “I was part of a group of people that was about to make cash withdrawal at CBN building in Calabar this afternoon. “Suddenly, there was an explosion within the CBN premises that caused heavy casualties. Ambulances were used to convey people to various hospitals “I was lucky to have escaped, and even luckier to discover that everyone in my group was safe and in good conditions of health. Ibe Kachikwu Minister says fuel importation will end in 18 months Kachikwu said that when the refineries were finally fixed, they would contribute in building the country’s strategic fuel reserves.   The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, said Federal Government planned to end importation of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) within the next 12 to 18 months. Kachikwu said this while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.
