Rebury my wife beside me when I'm gone," aide reveals ex-coach's wish
In the words of Ado, “He never recovered from the death of his wife

called Nkem.”
Late Stephen Keshi's last wish was to be buried in his home town and have his wife reburied by his side.
This was made known by his manager, Emma Ado, during a programme on Channels Television on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
The ex-coach and
captain of the Super Eagles, who was reported to have passed away in
Benin State after suffering cardiac arrest, instructed his close aides
to ensure that he is buried in his hometown, Illah, Delta State.
Findings
revealed that Illah, is a town, which is situated in Oshimili
North, Delta State, Nigeria on the west bank of the River Niger and a
few miles north of a straight line from Benin City to Enugu.
Speaking
on the achiever, who remains the second African to win the African Cup
of Nation as a player and coach, Ado said keshi never recovered from the
death of his wife, whom he lost to cancer in 2015.
In the words of Ado, “He never recovered from the death of his wife but he never prepared us for this. He’s gone to be with his wife he called Nkem.”
Speaking further, he said, 'Keshi
lived a good life. All the children are in the US and our brothers out
there have travelled to go and be with them. He asked to be buried in
Illah and the body of his wife which was buried in Benin be taken to
Illah and buried beside him. That was his decision.'
Stephen
Keshi was announced dead in the early hours of Wednesday, June 8, 2016
after he was reported to have succumbed to a cardiac arrest attack in
Benin, Edo State.
