Ex-VP absent at Buhari's biography launch

Atiku Abubakar has been reported as one of the few dignitaries that was absent at the book presentation of President Buhari's authiorised biography.

Ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, was one of the few dignitaries that missed the public presentation of PresidentMuhammadu Buhari's authorised biography.

Entitled, "Muhammadu Buhari: The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria," the book presentation, which took place on Monday, October 3, 2016, the absence of the APC chieftain was noticed by top politicians and dignitaries present on the occasion.
With APC's national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, and National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu leading top party members of the book presentation, the absence of Atiku is currently been discussed amongst members of the ruling party.
While there has been no statement for his absence, Atiku last informed the public that he will be in Gombe to celebrate Nigeria's 56th Independence anniversary as well as Gombe at 20.
He made this known via his official Twitter handle on October 1, 2016.

Boko Haram Buratai insists sect has been defeated Buratai also told the elders that the initial challenges encountered by the troops have been surmounted.   The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai in a meeting with Borno elders said Boko Haram has been defeated. Buratai said “We were given three major tasks and we have made efforts toward achieving two,  “The first task is to defeat Boko Haram and I want to tell you that as at today Boko Haram has been defeated.  “When I say defeat, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be hitches here and there. Ibrahim Magu "Whoever we arrested for corruption must be guilty" - EFCC boss Magu dismissed insinuations that the ongoing anti-corruption war is selective, stressing that no one is untouchable.     The acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu , has reaffirmed that the ongoing anti-corruption fight is not selective. Magu said before anyone is arrested, the Commission would have, after a thorough investigation, established that the individual is guilty. He stated this in Kaduna on Monday, October 24 while speaking on the sideline of the National Open Government Partnership retreat.
