Legislators want toll gates re-introduced so citizens can contribute to road repairs

The Nigerian Senate has moved a motion for the re-introduction of toll gates on federal roads in the country.

The motion was moved by Senator Suleiman Nazif, who represents the Bauchi-North Senatorial District, on Tuesday, October 25.
 
It was supported by Senators Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Ali Ndume, Abdullahi Gumel, Sabi Abdullahi and Biodun Olujimi.
 
Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu further spoke on the need for best policy to manage the re-introduced toll gates.

The Senate eventually resolved to study the toll gate policy and ensure that the money realized is judiciously utilized in order to restore confidence in the masses.
